I grew up on a potato farm in northern Maine.
I worked at Disney World as Mickey Mouse and loved every second of it (so please forgive me if I overuse the adjective “magical”).
I am obsessed with the color orange.
My favorite place in the world is in the woods. Any woods. I could live on hobo meals and s’mores, and I’m pretty sure if I lived in an area of the world with a warmer climate year-round, I’d do away with my house altogether and move into a tent! (A big one with a cushy bed and internet, of course… ‘glamping’ style).
The way to my heart is through dark chocolate (bonus points for FLIPZ dark chocolate-covered pretzels).
I LOVE interior design, styling, fashion and, most of all, weddings!
As your photographer, my goal is to do far more than just stand in the background and take traditional photos of your day. I will fluff your dress, give you my jacket, sew your bustle back together if it breaks or make you a new one if you forgot to get one to begin with (just ask my bride from this fall, Amanda!). I will fix your hair, fetch your champagne and snacks, tell you jokes and bust a move alongside you on the dance floor. I strive to get to know you and your love and to become your friend, making you feel comfortable and able to forget that there’s a camera in your face during our time together.
I hope to listen closely and pay attention to your style and personalities as a couple in order to create photos that are as unique as the two of you. I look to capture those in-between moments, like the breath before a kiss or the uncontrollable belly laughter that is bound to erupt when you stare into each other’s eyes for one awkward moment too long. I work with a unique perspective and aim to create art from your special day that you can hang on the walls of your home and pass down in albums to your grandchildren. I am unobtrusive and like to think I’m pretty fun, too! You can be the judge of that, though.
Okay, enough about me, now let’s talk about us:
I want our experience together to be nothing short of incredible. Your wedding day is the most important day of your life, and I want you to enjoy it and trust me to capture all of the moments you will remember as well as the ones you may miss. I want you to laugh, cry and most importantly LOVE the images I will create for you to enjoy for the rest of your life.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you and hearing all about each and every detail that you’ve planned for your upcoming day. Please feel free to email me at LKHphotography@live.com about ANYTHING you need throughout this process, and I’ll be happy to help! If you need someone to bounce ideas off of, let’s grab coffee and brainstorm together! Please send me a message. I can’t wait to meet you!
